Surgery Center Services of America broke ground on a multispecialty ASC in South Bend, Ind., CEO Philip Blair said Nov. 17.
Mesa, Ariz.-based Surgery Center Services of America opened a cardiology ASC earlier this month in Scottsdale, Ariz., and said it plans to open more than 14 ASCs this year.

Surgery Center Services of America opened the Epic Surgery Center in Scottsdale, Ariz., the company’s CEO Philip Blair said Nov. 7.
The cardiology ASC has two operating rooms and a catheterization and office-based lab. It’s one of Mesa, Ariz.-based Surgery Center Services of America’s 14 ASCs slated to open this year.

Surgery Center Services of America hits construction milestone on ASC
Surgery Center Services of America has completed the demolition needed for its gastroenterology ASC in Miami, CEO Philip Blair said Oct. 12.
The ASC is a part of Mesa, Ariz.-based Surgery Center Services of America’s substantial 2021 expansion.
The company’s ASC development program includes five phases: feasibility assessment, design and development, equipment selection, project management and licensing and certification.

Surgery Center Services of America opens ophthalmology ASC in New York
Surgery Center Services of America has opened Greater Binghamton (N.Y.) Eye Surgery Center, CEO Philip Blair said in a July 14 email.
The Greater Binghamton Eye Surgery Center features two operating rooms. It is accredited by The Joint Commission and certified by CMS, the email said.
The center is a part of the 14 ASCs that Mesa, Ariz.-based Surgery Center Services of America is planning to open by October.

Two operating rooms in Cleveland, Ohio, is slated to open July 1.
Urological Institute of Maryland, a urology ASC with one operating room in Timonium, is slated to open Oct. 1.
Podiatry:
A podiatry ASC with one operating room in Layton, Utah, is slated to open July 1.
Cardiology:
Phoenix Heart Ambulatory Surgery and Electrophysiology Center, a cardiology ASC with one operating room in Glendale, Ariz., is slated to open July 1.
Epic Surgery Center, a cardiology ASC with two operating rooms in Scottsdale, Ariz., is slated to open Aug. 1.
Multispecialty:
A multispecialty ASC with four operating rooms in Paradise Valley, Ariz., is slated to open Aug. 1.
